Tickets: 130 kr. (in advance) / 160 kr. (on the door)

Our choir are honoured to have been invited to perform a charity concert in the historic and beautiful Holmens Kirke to raise funds for Morgencafé for Hjemløse in Nørrebro.

The concert will present an example of a Choral Evensong in the traditional Anglican style, followed by a talk about the fascinating history of English choral music that will include performances of some of the musical highlights from the Anglican musical tradition of the past 500 years.

Tickets can be bought via Billetto or MobilePay 41327 for 130 kr. in advance, or for 160 kr. on the door. All proceeds go to Morgencafé for Hjemløse.

Morgencafé for Hjemløse offers free food, clothing, health care, social support, activities and community for people living in homelessness or other vulnerable positions. It helps with basic needs and helps create a more stable and meaningful everyday life for the long term.

Holmens Kirke is situated right in the centre of Copenhagen, next to Børsen and a short walk from Kongens Nytorv. Consecrated in 1619, Queen Margrethe II was married in the church in 1967 and the twins of now-King Frederik X and Queen Mary were baptised there in 2011.

The concert is an annual event now in its 11th year, and is organised by Johanniterhjælpen, who are a Danish, Christian-based charity, affiliated with the international St John's Order.

This is a great chance to come and support our talented choir and a hard-working local charity, and to enjoy an evening of beautiful music and hear a little about the wonderful traditions that we practice at St Alban's.
