Ecumenical Church Walk 2023

The theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity this year is: “Do good; seek justice.” (Isaiah chapter 1, verse 17).

Tuesday, the 24th of January 2023, at 18:30 it will be possible – as is tradition – to visit the Danish Lutheran Church, the Methodist Church, Church of England, the Russian Orthodox Church, the Catholic Church and the Swedish Lutheran Church in the City of Copenhagen on the annual Church Walk.

The first Church Walk was held in 1995. It is organized by the Danish brand of the Fellowship of St Alban and St Sergius in collaboration with the churches in the program. The Church Walk is in essence one long service. After the joint introduction in Sankt Pauls Kirke, you can choose one of four routes and visit different churches before joining the other teams for the final in the Swedish Church, Gustavskyrkan, where father Stephen Platt – orthodox priest in Oxford and general secretary of The Fellowship of St Alban and St Sergius – will give the sermon.
