Music and dance fills St Alban’s
Posted on Friday 15th October, 2010
St Alban’s Church hosted a rich blend of music and dance until late in the evening on 15 October.
Taking part in Copenhagen’s Culture Night, harpist Zhuyan Liu Meng from China played pieces by Pescetti, Krumpholz and Grandjany. Children from Skoverballatten danced up the aisle. The Danish Hildegard Ensemble performed the songs of Hildegard of Bingen, followed by Jane Bedelsen with Bach organ fugues. The evening ended with Compline at 10pm.
Chaplain Jonathan LLoyd said “It was wonderful to welcome 400 visitors to St Alban’s tonight and to celebrate the gifts of music and dance, as well as the culture of this great city.”
