YOU PROMISE – WE AUCTION – ST. ALBAN’S BENEFITS
This year as part of our 125th year celebrations we are going to hold a summer ‘Auction of promises’. Open to the congregation, their families and friends of St Alban’s we hope you will join us for an evening of good food and wine, good company and cheer to help us raise money for the Church.
If you have not been to a St Alban’s auction before, this is a fun day not to be missed!
Following on from the success of previous auctions we are now inviting people to submit promises or items to be auctioned by our own special auctioneers Claire and Tony on the day. Previous lots have included; holiday accommodation in the US, Spain and the UK, a B & B weekend in the UK, dinner parties in the donors home or cooked and served to you in your own home, pictures, hand blown and hand painted glass works, lessons in various fields from presenting yourself in professional environment, palates, bell ringing, Irish dancing, cookery and music, services such as gardening, driving, babysitting.
Your time and talents are gifts enough for us to auction.
So don’t be shy, sign up below, we are always grateful for the wonderful variety people offer!

Your promise
If you wish to donate something, then please send an e-mail to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with the following information:
• Your promise (incl. any explanatory details)
• Your name and contact details (e-mail and/or telephone number)
• Approx. value of promise (if possible) and any reserve price you wish to put on it
• If you can attach a photo, we would appreciate it.
You can also fill in these details on a form on the notice board in the narthex or you can contact Pauleen Bang or Chris Osborn in church.

St. Ansgar’s Hall
Bredgade 69A (5 minutes from St Alban’s)
1263 København K
The event will be open to members of the congregation, their family and friends.
There will be a small entrance charge to cover the cost of the food, and drinks will be available at modest prices. There is room for up to 80 people in the hall and tickets will be available from the beginning of May 2012.
We need your help
We have volunteers to be auctioneers and bar staff, plus one photographer (a second one would give each of you the chance of a break), but we need more helpers. If you are willing to take on one of the following roles, please contact one of us.
• Photographer
• Food preparer(s)
• Shopper(s)
• Cleaner-upper(s)
• Treasurer(s)
Sealed bids
If you can’t be there but would like to bid for one of the “promises” on offer, sealed bids will be accepted from May 1. Please either:

• send your bid to Auction of Promises, St Albans Church, Churchillparken 11, 1263 København K
• or give your bid to one of the organisers, Pauleen Bang or Chris Osborne, in church.
Sealed bids should contain the following information:
• lot number
• your name and contact details (e-mail and/or telephone number)
• your bid (i.e. the maximum amount you’re prepared to pay for the item)
